About The Event
The Global Islamic Tourism Conference & Exhibition (GITC) is an annual forum for the global Islamic tourism industry to gather leading relevant regional and international travel and tourism professionals to network and unlock the business potential within the Islamic tourism industry around the world. This is the second exhibition and conference of such nature for Malaysia which proudly has long historical ties with Muslims all over the world.

The GITC event focuses on exploring and celebrating the countries and cultures of the Islamic world and also features attractions in countries where Islam is practiced, though in a much smaller scale such as Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom and Australia, among others.

The Hosted Buyer Programme at Global Islamic Tourism Conference & Exhibition (GITC) brings exhibitors together with tour operators, leisure buyers as well as the industry’s most influential meetings, incentive and corporate buyers.

Running simultaneously as the exhibition is a 1-day international conference where speakers will share their views and findings on Islamic Tourism and its various definitions. The first conference was a success which led to the establishment of a World Islamic Tourism Secretariat with the role objective of maximizing efforts at facilitating tourism promotion and value creation. This second GITC will also include a Food Festival and will be themed as the Global Islamic Food Festival@GITC to show the correlation between tourism and food.

The exhibitions, conferences, press conferences, networking luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, food-tasting, celebrities cook-off, media culinary event and free food seminars are just a few of the scheduled activities trade visitors attending the event can also expect to experience.
